When Hurricane Gustav destroyed the access road to the VOR facility in Leesville, LA, Kobo Utility Construction was contracted to rebuild the damaged areas. Due to the instability of the roadway various precautions had to be utilized to ensure no additional damage to the roadway during the reconstruction process. A concrete bridge approach was constructed and poured in addition to the repair of other damaged components such as a propane system and tank and other cosmetic features of the facility. Kobo Utility Construction presented the FAA with cost saving solutions to allow the project to be completed within budget.
